I just wanted to say that Tucker and Rascal are absolutely beautiful! I've only seen photos thus far, but they are stunning! I hope to see them in person by the weekend. Man, your dogs are incredible!
We are celebrating Jasper's first birthday this Saturday - he'll be one year old. A trip to the groomer's and then a trip to a dog bake shop in a nearby town for some special treats. Then much of the day just hanging with Jas. A walk or two is also slated. He's becoming quite socialized - we take him almost daily to a local "day care" where he has a number of friends. He's also beginning to grow out of the "gulping" his food stage. A few months back I made an Amazon purchase of one of those slow feeder bowls for him. It's a royal pain in the acts (sounds "ethnic, huh?) to clean, however. A few weeks ago I abandoned it in favor of his original ceramic bowl. There have been a few times that he has not finished his food - and I think we're a bit on the modest side of kibble daily allotment for him.
This was a bit of good/bad day for us. On this day last year we lost Jasper although the date is the 30th. We relished in Steve/Sharyn's excitement for the arrival of their new babies. But in my memory is the phone call from the intensive care vet while in class and, well, you know how it goes. I'm certain that you could tell stories that make ours seem mild by comparison. This Saturday will mark a high point with Jasper's first birthday. We'll send a few photos minus the strippers (for him).
Bottom line, thank you, Carole, for giving us joy in our lives again. Jasper is a handsome, unique, healthy, and loving little guy. We anxiously await the arrival of his baby sister sometime and Jan/Feb 2016.
